WWII Soviet Tank Colors

A third-generation acrylic paint set containing the six colors essential for painting models of Soviet Army vehicles during World War II. The color "Protective Green" was introduced in the 1920s and remained in use throughout the 1930s, with some older equipment likely still coated with it on the eve of the war.

The same applied to the color 3B AU/ZB AU, which was introduced as the basic color in the first half of the 1930s. Green 4BO was developed in 1937, went into mass production in 1940, and became the standard color for Soviet military vehicles throughout the war.

Dark Brown 6K and Sand 7K were introduced around 1939 as disruptive camouflage colors, but their use was quite limited: most vehicles and equipment remained green overall.

On the other hand, washable white paint was frequently used during the winter months.
