Afrika Korps Colors 1941-43

A third-generation acrylic paint set with six colors, used for painting vehicles of the German Afrika Korps in North Africa from early 1941 to May 1943.

Most of the vehicles and equipment initially shipped to Africa were painted in RAL 7021 dark grey.

In March 1941, the first camouflage colors were selected specifically for use in Africa:
RAL 8000 Yellow-Brown and RAL 7008 Grey-Green. These colors should cover two-thirds and one-third of the vehicle's surface, respectively.

In March 1942 they were replaced by RAL 8020 Brown and RAL 7027 Grey.

The set also includes the vehicle interior color RAL 1001 Ivory.

This set contains:

• AK11327 RAL 8000 Yellow-brown.
• AK11317 RAL 7027 Grey.
• AK11331 RAL 8020 Brown.
