Always at the forefront of the battles, the Waffen-SS was well-equipped, even though the supply of new materials and weapons for the Third Reich became increasingly important as Allied bombing raids ravaged German industry.

Armed with the best weapons the Wehrmacht could deploy, the Waffen-SS fought with discipline and tenacity, although they had little choice, knowing that the enemy would show them mercy - SS troops are treated brutally if captured.

Since the winter conditions were comparable to those on the Eastern Front, there was also an urgent need for cold-weather equipment during operations in the Ardennes and Italy – the Italian winter of 1944 was the coldest in 150 years....

These figures are equipped with a mixture of the wool-lined M40 and the fur-lined M43 parkas of the Waffen-SS - the latter in grey, light brown or Italian camouflage pattern.

This kit contains 10 metal Waffen-SS models:
- Non-commissioned officer and 1 man with assault rifle
- 2-man LMG team
- 4 men with rifles (2 with anti-tank weapons)
- 2 men with assault rifle & rocket launcher
