At the decisive Battle of Waterloo, the
Line infantry were the backbone of the British army. Supported by artillery barrages and the noble cavalry, they fought in rain and mud against the hated French forces.
The Prussian allies reached the fields of Waterloo late on Sunday, June 18th, and gave the British,
Hanoverian and Nassau associations additional
Impact.

Sir Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, moved in with his
Allied forces took up a position on a ridge near Waterloo and held out there for over nine hours, no matter what Bonaparte mustered.
Together, after reaching the Prussian forces, they decisively defeated the French army.
