The armed wing of the Nazi Party, the extremely well-equipped Waffen-SS, was rightly feared by its opponents – both for its fighting prowess and for its uncompromising cruelty.

Supported by two high-rate-of-fire weapons - the deadly MG42 machine gun (called Hitler's Buzzsaw by the Allies) and the Granatwerfer 34 (8 cm) grenade launcher - the Waffen-SS in their camouflaged uniforms were a truly dangerous opponent.
