Since 1944, the end of Hitler's Third Reich had been foreseeable. His troops were in retreat on all fronts. However, with slogans of perseverance and stubbornness, the German armed forces clung to the hope that the Allies would tire, or that wonder weapons would arrive to turn the tide.

Meanwhile, the German soldiers did their best to organize themselves during the retreat and equip themselves with the best weapons available. These grenadiers were armed to the teeth with the latest weapons. They all carried the STG44, the deadly assault rifle that bridged the gap between rifle and submachine gun.
These lucky soldiers have a better chance in the battles against the advancing Allies.
