US Infantry 1942-45

This box contains enough plastic figures to represent a full-strength platoon plus HQ. In 1942, a company consisted of three platoons, each with three sections of twelve men at full strength, and a HQ of five men. There was also a weapons platoon consisting of two .30 Browning machine guns (included) and three 60mm mortars (not included). Each section included a sergeant and five armed Garand riflemen (although there was an early version with a rifleman equipped with a Springfield rifle and a grenade launcher), two armed Garand scouts, two armed BAR Garand helpers, and the BAR gunner and a sergeant. The BAR gunner was armed with a Garand, but occasionally equipped with a carbine or Thompson submachine gun.
