US Airborne Support Group (1944-45)

Following the D-Day landings, the US Airborne were equipped with the new M43 uniform and were ready to face some of their greatest challenges of the war - Operation Market Garden and the Ardennes Offensive.

Airborne units relied heavily on the support weapons they could take into battle. The 81 mm M1 and 60 mm M2 mortars provided valuable indirect firepower, while the Panzerfaust M1 gave paratroopers a chance to engage enemy armor.
