Textured Roller with Handle - Cobblestone 15mm by Greenstuff World

Textured roller with handle - cobblestones 15mm

Textured roller with handle that can press a continuous, repeating pattern onto all types of modeling putty, polymer clays, and pastes.
Made of clear PMMA plastic with amazing non-stick properties.

Thanks to their small size and the innovative design of their ergonomic handle, they are easy to transport and use.

A variety of textures are available, making them compatible with different modeling scales. The textures are scalable to cover large areas, and their grip allows for the embossing of textures that create curves, adding realism to the model or base.

Roll width: 4 cm (1.5 inches)
Roller length including handle: 14 cm (5.5 inches)
Diameter: 2.5 cm (1 inch)
Scale: 15-20mm (1/87-1/72)

* The textured rolling pins and their handles are presented unassembled.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
1. Mix the putty/clay, the modeling compound, properly until it is ready according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
2. Spread out the putty/clay or modeling compound. For better results, smooth the mixture. * We recommend using a flat, smooth rolling pin for this purpose.
3. - Depending on the type of material, we recommend moistening the roller to prevent it from sticking to the roller.
4. - Move the roller with consistent, point-by-point pressure to ensure a continuous texture.
5. Trim off the excess material on the sides with a sharp knife. We recommend letting the material dry beforehand.

MATERIALS:
There are many different putties and types of clay on the market, and all can be textured with the right technique.
Modeling with these rolling pins and polymer clay (type Fimo or Sculpey) is usually quite easy, as polymer clay allows for slight error correction due to the heat required for hardening.
If the goal is to model textured bases, we recommend using MDF wood bases. It's possible to texture the material directly onto the bases and then bake the model, along with the MDF wood bases, in the oven at 150°C for 15 minutes. The MDF wood bases will not burn and will have a slight toasted smell.
In the case of epoxy resin putties, there are various techniques to achieve similar results. The advantage of these materials is that they do not need to be fired, but can be textured directly.
When using Green Stuff, which is particularly sticky, it is advisable to moisten the surface of the roller or the mass with a little water before imprinting the texture.
The stickiness of Greenstuff can also be reduced with talc powder, or even directly applied modeling petroleum jelly.
Other epoxy putties, such as Milliput, Magic Sculpt, or Aves Apoxie Sculpt modeling compounds, can also be used. However, these should not be moistened, as this unnecessarily complicates the work. If Milliput seems too sticky, it should be kneaded until it becomes less sticky.

CLEANING AND CARE:
After using the roller, it should be cleaned with a scratching brush and plenty of water to remove any residue of the material used.

SECURITY:
Children should always be accompanied by a responsible adult when using this product.
