San Marco Marines Infantry Section

Under Mussolini, the isolated marine infantry battalion of San Marco participated in the campaigns in Abyssinia and Albania and eventually merged with a second battalion to form the Reggimento San Marco.

The marines formed the attack backbone of the Forza Navale da Sbarco (Naval Landing Force) and participated in the landings on the Dalmatian coast and various Greek islands, as well as in anti-partisan operations in Montenegro. By 1942, a third battalion had been formed, which was deployed to North Africa, where it distinguished itself at Tobruk.

The box contains 9 metal figures with plastic bases and waterslide decals.

The models are delivered unassembled and unpainted.
