Despite, or perhaps because of, the harsh conditions under which they were raised, the Russian soldier was tenacious, resilient, and unyielding. The Russian infantryman played a crucial role in every major battle against the French and their allies during the Napoleonic Wars. The Russian soldier, culminating in the great Battle of Borodino, proved to be a formidable opponent, often carrying out his grim duties at the point of the bayonet.

This box set allows you to build a large battalion of Russians wearing the traditional Russian shako, which, although superseded by the Kiwer shako of 1812, was worn by many regiments until the end of the Napoleonic Wars. Two different head options are included, so you can field your unit as musketeers, grenadiers, or a mix of both.

The models are easy to assemble with only three parts (body, head and backpack with sword), so you can quickly build up your army and lead it into battle!

• 20 plastic Rank & File and four metallic Multipose Commandos (Officer, Drummer and two Standard Bearers)
• 2-page background guide with 8 colored flags

The models are delivered unpainted and must be assembled.
