The 10th Cavalry Brigade was one of the most famous units of the Polish Army during World War II. Their distinctive black leather jackets earned them the nickname "Black Cap" or "Black Brigade." They were arguably the most modern unit in the Polish Army, and when the Wehrmacht invaded Poland, they made the Germans pay dearly for every inch of Polish soil they lost.
