Few sights are as magnificent as that of a 17th-century battalion, lined up in formation, awaiting the order to battle. Drums call out commands, officers deliver rousing speeches, and valiant ensigns wave regimental banners for the soldiers to grasp if the need arises. The pikemen, clutching their 16-foot ash staffs tipped with wicked steel, stand shoulder to shoulder, and the fortunate few wearing armor are in the front ranks. On their flanks stand the shotte, blowing on their glowing matches to ensure their musket powder ignites properly, spitting heavy lead bullets toward the advancing enemy!

This box contains three combined plastic pike and scrap regiments (40 pike and 40 muskets, each with command), plastic bases and a full-color flag sheet with the colors of both sides in the Thirty Years' War.
