Pike & Shotte Cavalry from Warlord Games

The cavalrymen of this period were generally very heavily armored. They rode large warhorses capable of intimidating infantry on their own. The riders were protected by breastplates and very sturdy helmets. Their offensive weapons included a choice of pistol, sword, or axe. When possible, they carried carbines for long-range engagements. These models can be assembled into Royalist and Parliamentarian cavalry of the English Civil Wars, or as one of the many regiments during the Thirty Years' War.
