Panzer IV Ausf. B/C/D by Warlord Games

The Panzerkampfwagen IV medium tank was the only German tank to fight from the beginning to the end of World War II. This mechanically reliable tank was the backbone of the German war machine throughout the entire war, although the heavy Panther and Tiger tanks often received all the glory and press attention.

The Ausf B and C variants featured modifications to the hull, armor, and turret cupola, but they were not produced in large numbers. The Ausf D version of the Panzer IV was the first true production model, with over 200 units built between 1939 and 1941.

The Ausf. D, which remained in service until 1944, was distinguished by a new design for the front hull plate to accommodate the hull-mounted machine gun, as well as a new outer gun mantlet and up to 25% thicker armor. These early versions of the Panzer IV saw action in the invasions of Poland, France, and the Netherlands, as well as on the Eastern Front and in North Africa.
