Prussia was a highly militarised state in the latter stages of the Napoleonic Wars, with its very survival depending on the strength of its army. While not as famous as the infantry or cavalry, nor as numerous as the Landwehr, Prussian artillery was a vital component of the army, providing essential fire support to the troops. Howitzers, powerful weapons that lob explosive shells in an arc over the heads of friendly troops to land amongst the enemy, formed part of the ‘foot artillery’ which was intended to be moved into the best possible position prior to battle.

This mighty howitzer is a deadly weapon, capable of decimating enemy formations (if it hits!). It can be assembled as either a 7 or 10-inch model and is ready to provide vital fire support to your Prussians!
