Black Powder: Napoleonic French Line Lancers

In 1809, at the Battle of Wagram, some Polish light cavalrymen fought alongside Napoleon. Using lances from previously imprisoned Austrian lancers, they demonstrated Napoleon's effectiveness in battle. Impressed by this, Bonaparte ordered the raising of nine regiments modeled on the Polish cavalry.
With their nine-foot-long lances, adorned with red and white pennants, and crowned with shining classical helmets, they cut a fine figure not only on the battlefield.
These lancers had rather unusual tasks in the French battle lines and were most often used as scouts, for quick raids, and especially in Spain and Russia, decisively in skirmishes.
Armed with lances, sabers, and occasionally carbines and pistols, the French lancers were a dangerous and formidable opponent!

The box contains the following miniatures:

• 12 French Light Cavalry Lancers made of plastic
• 1 officer on horseback made of metal
• 1 additional metal body for a trumpet
• 1 additional arm with metal banner pole

The models are delivered unpainted and must be assembled.
