The Dutch and Belgian contingents of the Waterloo campaign constituted a third of the Allied army, making the regiments crucial to Wellington's success. The Iron Duke was initially uncertain of their fighting prowess, as many of the regiments' soldiers had served in the Grand Armée under the Corsican brute Bonaparte only about a year earlier! Wellington had little to fear, however, for the Dutch and Belgian infantry largely held firm despite massive attacks from the French columns and, at the end of a long and bloody day, even repelled an assault by the Old Guard.

The box contains 24 miniatures of Belgian line infantry from Warlord Resin (including a command group with officer, drummer, ensign and non-commissioned officer), a full-color flag sheet and plastic bases.

Although we know it is unlikely that Dutch and Belgian troops carried flags at Waterloo, we have included a full-color flag sheet, as we know wargamers love to see their units literally under the flag.
