Vallejo Metal Color Gold

Metal Color is an innovative range of metallic paints formulated with aluminum pigments in a water-based formula. The metallic colors selected for this range are the most widely used by international air forces worldwide, and their exceptionally glossy finish and reflectivity allow modelers to use Metal Color for the entire painting process without resorting to solvent-based enamels or varnishes. Metal Color can be applied directly to the model with an airbrush or thinned with our Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It dries very quickly, forming a self-leveling and homogeneous film of exceptional durability, preserving even the smallest details of the model. It can be mixed directly in the airbrush cup with other colors from the Model Air or Game Air ranges. Metal Color can also be applied with a brush.

For airbrushing, compressor settings of approximately 15-20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg are recommended. For optimal airbrush maintenance, we recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. For fuselages and components of aircraft models, it is recommended to first apply a base coat of glossy black primer to highlight the unique properties of the aluminum surface. When masking: Metal Color dries very quickly, but it is advisable to wait 12 hours after application before proceeding with the masking process.
