Designed as a replacement for the M3/M5 Stuart light tanks, the M24 Chaffee saw action in the later years of World War II and into the Korean War. The Chaffee also served with British and Soviet troops during the war. Reliable, armed with a 75mm gun, and possessing good off-road mobility, the M24 was popular with its crews.
