Konflikt '47 United States Roberta Wells - Firefly Hero

A physics graduate, the appearance of the Los Alamos Rift at the Trinity test site led Roberta to dedicate herself to the study of Rift energy. The deployment of Axis Rift horrors, most notably the dreaded Totenkorps, in late 1944 saw her volunteer for deployment to the European theatre of war to study the application of Rift technology in warfare. Despite numerous objections from the US military, her request was eventually granted.

Her no-nonsense approach, resilience to the psychological horrors of Rift warfare, and willingness to get fully involved saw her stand out from the crowd of scientific advisors assigned to the front. Roberta showed a distinct streak of independence, often splitting from the unit she was attached to, so as not to be constrained in conducting her studies. Yet she slowly gained the respect of the US Army soldiers charged with her safety in the field, displaying a remarkable aptitude for combat situations.

Considered the United States’ greatest hope for studying the Dresden Rift to safely bring it under control or neutralize it, Roberta has returned to the front in 1947, attached to the 109th Airborne Division en route to Dresden. A particularly valuable member of the team, she has been granted the use of a prototype suit of power armour specially developed to operate with the Firefly jump pack. Of course, she has already begun making her own modifications…
