The Steel Troops, intended as the spearhead for attacks on the most heavily fortified strongholds and equipped with armor comparable to many earlier tanks, are the elite of the Axis infantry. Thanks to rapid advances in metallurgy and servomotors, enormously powerful armor suits were developed that could carry heavy weapons with ease. Steel Troops do not hesitate to plunge headlong into machine-gun fire, shredding enemy infantry in a hail of automatic fire and clearing breaches for the following troops. Only veterans of the highest rank become Steel Troops, and they rightly consider themselves the elite of the Axis powers.

This plastic kit contains nine multi-part Axis heavy infantrymen equipped with weapons such as the StG 44Z assault rifle, the MG 42 light machine gun, and the Panzerbüchse 41 anti-tank rifle – a handful for these behemoths! The kit is packed with extra components, including different heads, menacing triangular daggers, and a choice of five leg poses per sprue for even more individuality. With so much detail on the models, they are a great opportunity to showcase your painting and sculpting skills, and their sheer numbers make them a great centerpiece for any Axis force.

On the Conflict '47 game board, Steel Troopers are the heaviest special infantry available to Axis players. They are capable of withstanding small arms fire as they advance across the board and are equipped with automatic weapons that spell doom for any enemy infantry foolish enough to stand in their way. Their Advance! Rift ability ensures they continue their advance at the crucial moment—no matter how heavy the incoming fire!
