Conflict '47 Hornet Medium Walker

The Guardian Light Walker had initially proven suitable for supporting infantry in urban environments and difficult terrain, but with the improvement of Axis anti-walker techniques, it increasingly ran into difficulties. Although the Commonwealth was impressed by the capabilities of the new US Kodiak Close Assault Walker, it chose to use one of its own modern models for the task instead. When the Hornet was first unveiled, it was immediately apparent that its design owed much to the US Grizzly, as it shared a nearly identical chassis. The Hornet is significantly larger and better armored than the Guardian and, like the Kodiak, carries a range of weapons.

Its four heavy machine guns and heavy automatic cannon are more than sufficient to engage entrenched infantry and vehicles. Its work arms allow it to clear obstacles, construct makeshift defenses, and dismantle light vehicles. Lacking dedicated anti-tank capabilities, Hornet formations are typically accompanied by a Percival to combat armored threats.
