Conflict '47 Guardian Light Walker

Following a personal request from Churchill to Roosevelt, several Coyote light walkers were shipped to Britain in late 1946. Many were immediately deployed to the front as Guardian Mark I vehicles, unchanged. Although generally successful, reports from the field concluded that the Guardian's armament was inadequate for its intended role as an infantry support vehicle. To address this issue, a flamethrower was fitted to the walker's left arm. Despite the added weight, performance was not affected. These vehicles, designated Guardian Mark II in Commonwealth service, serve alongside unchanged Guardian Mark I vehicles and constitute the bulk of the Commonwealth's light walker forces.
