Konflikt '47 British Commonwealth MK IIC Automated Director

Advanced research into automated systems has progressed at an entirely unexpected rate, such that production is barely able to keep up with new designs emerging from Bletchley Park. Less than a year after the first deployment of the Mk I automated infantry in Belgium, increasingly entire platoons are being organised and commanded by automated platoon leaders in their own right. These Automated Directors are based on the Mk II design, and feature enhanced computational and radio systems, enabling them to disseminate orders to other automated units over a greater radius. The benefits of fully automated platoons are numerous; not least the prevention of British casualties, and their immunity to the increasingly damaging psychological effects of the battlefields. However, automated commanders lack the imagination of human commanders and are somewhat restricted to carrying out the tactics and orders pre-programmed into their systems by dedicated British engineers before battle.
