Konflikt '47 British Commonwealth "B for Bertie" Automated Infantry Hero

"B for Bertie" was built at the English Electric Works in Preston and rolled off the production line like any other Mk-I Automated. However, it was only during his first deployment as part of Operation Cavalier near Antwerp in Belgium that Bertie can truly be said to have been born.

On June 9th, 1946, a contingent of heavy Axis panzermechs ambushed Bertie's formation. In the chaos of the battle, Bertie became lost from the sight of his human escorts. When the ambush had been fought off with considerable loss and the Axis retreated, Bertie too was gone. The unit was written off as killed in action, but this was not the case.

Low on power, Bertie painstakingly dragged himself back to the battlefield, but his unit had long since moved on. Rather than simply patiently decaying, his primitive automated system adapted, and Bertie became something other than a simple, factory-issue Automated. He scavenged the battlefield of fallen Automata, replacing his broken leg, collecting power cells, seizing ammunition and weapons, and setting off on a new odyssey.

The box contains one plastic figure, supplied with a plastic base and assembly instructions.
