Konflikt '47 Axis "The Harvester" Senior Physician Albrecht von Zögling

Albrecht von Zögling is the Axis’ lead for the Totenkorps program and a long-time member of the Grünes Gewölbe. His obsession with the dead led him to spend years studying the Grünes Gewölbe’s library texts and, whenever possible, visiting battlefields or massacre sites where he would collect corpses to experiment upon – earning him the whispered nickname “The Harvester.”

On March 12, 1944, the bomb fell on Dresden, and von Zögling’s dreams were entirely realised. Around half a million dead now wandered the ruins, and a seemingly inexhaustible supply of Rift energy was now at his disposal.

The secrets of the Rift granted von Zögling the means to reanimate the dead to a scale he hadn’t dared dream of, and he soon developed the serum that would replace the original, primitive power packs previously used to reanimate the recently deceased – a serum that could be injected directly into a corpse, getting them up and walking again within seconds.

Unlike many of his students, von Zögling is not content to sit back and view the fruits of his labour from afar, making it a habit to roam battlefields in search of prime material for further experimentation. Always concerned with the effects of injury on human anatomy, he is by now highly skilled at inflicting them himself, having over the years trained himself to be an accomplished marksman and equally proficient swordsman. Whenever opportunity presents, he leads his personal Rotte of dead, eager to witness the glory of his creations in action, all while wearing custom-tailored battle gear designed to accommodate a variety of medical equipment and a supply of serum to bolster his Totenkorps legions at a moment’s notice.
