The name "Katyusha," a simple and very Soviet concept, refers to a long line of truck-mounted multiple rocket launchers capable of unleashing a massive barrage on a target, then quickly repositioning and striking again to avoid return fire. A variety of rocket sizes and trucks were used, with the BM-13 launcher, mounted on Lend-Lease Studebaker trucks, being among the most common.

On the Bolt Action tablet, the Katyusha features a powerful multiple rocket launcher, a weapon that requires both skill and luck to use, but possesses absolutely devastating damage potential. The Katyusha is a great piece of inexpensive self-propelled artillery, and no Soviet armored train is complete without at least one!
