Italian Army Weapons Teams

Infantry weapon teams are a key component of any Bolt Action army, offering your troops great tactical flexibility. Sniper teams, anti-tank teams, and light mortar teams are among the most common weapon types, presenting the enemy with numerous challenges that must be overcome.

The Solothurn anti-tank rifle was a hybrid between a true anti-tank rifle and a light anti-tank gun. Equipped with a light wheeled mount and a magazine feed, the Solothurn could achieve a rate of fire of up to 20 rounds per minute.

The Italian army did not possess a dedicated sniper rifle, and the relatively light Carcano Model 1891, with its small-caliber bullet, was not ideally suited for the task. However, in the hands of a skilled sniper, the weapon was deadly enough.

The Brixia 45 mm light mortar was a powerful and successful weapon in the hands of well-trained soldiers. Its rate of fire was higher than that of similar weapons from other nations, and its accuracy was also unsurpassed.
