Italian Alpini Weapons Teams by Warlord Games

Infantry weapon teams are a vital component of any Bolt Action army, offering your troops great tactical flexibility. This box set equips your Italian Alpini army with three of the most common and useful of these teams, along with Bolt Action Order Cubes to deploy them. This gives you the tools to master a variety of battlefield situations and pose numerous challenges to your opponent. It contains:

Anti-tank team (0-1 per rifle platoon or 0-3 per heavy weapons platoon):

The Solothurn anti-tank rifle was a hybrid between a true anti-tank rifle and a light anti-tank gun. Anti-tank teams are ideally suited for hunting down lighter enemy vehicles such as transports, armored cars, and light tanks.

Sniper team (0-1 per rifle platoon):

The Italian army did not have a dedicated sniper rifle, but a skilled marksman could make any telescopic sight deadly enough. In Bolt Action, snipers are precise long-range weapons that deny their targets the advantages of cover and can pinpoint enemy squad leaders and NCOs within a squad.

Light mortar team (0-2 per rifle platoon or 0-5 per heavy weapons platoon):

The Brixia 45mm light mortar was a powerful and effective weapon in the hands of well-trained soldiers. Light mortars hurl shells high across the field from a relatively short range. While initially inaccurate (not that a lucky six wouldn't result in an early hit!), they become increasingly accurate with distance, provided the target remains stationary! They are also capable of firing smoke grenades to create a smokescreen for your troops as they advance.

The box contains six Italian Alpini figures made of Warlord Resin, three Bolt Action Order dice and plastic bases.

The models are delivered unassembled and unpainted.
