Italian Alpini Support Group by Warlord Games

This box set contains a medium machine gun team, a medium mortar team, two officers, a medic to assist a comrade, and a radio operator well-suited as a forward observer. It's the ideal foundation for an Italian Alpini Heavy Weapons Platoon! It also includes three Bolt Action Order dice for use in the game.

Breda M37 Medium Machine Gun Team (0-5 per Heavy Weapons Platoon):

The most successful and widely used machine gun in Italian service was the air-cooled Breda M37 8mm weapon. A medium machine gun team is capable of unleashing a devastating hail of fire that can wipe out enemy infantry in open terrain.

Medium mortar team (0-5 per heavy weapons platoon):

Like so many nations, the Italian army made good use of mortars such as the Mortaio da 81/14 Modello. A medium mortar hurls shells high across the battlefield. Initially inaccurate, they achieve a long range as the game progresses, provided, of course, that the targets are stationary.

Headquarters (1 officer team per platoon, 0-1 medics per rifle platoon, 0-1 forward observers per rifle platoon):

Every platoon in your army needs a platoon leader. This box contains two officers who can be used as commanders for any platoon type, a forward observer who can easily act as a scout or as an extra man in your officer team, and a medic who serves in an infantry platoon.

The box contains four Italian HQ metal figures, a Breda M37 medium machine gun with three Italian Alpini crews, a metal medium mortar with three Italian Alpini crews, three Bolt Action Order dice and plastic bases.

The models are delivered unassembled and unpainted.
