IONIC WWII British Camouflage & Airborne Denison by Mig Jimenez The Ionic Smart Colors WWII British Camouflage & Airborne Denison Set contains 12 acrylic paints specially selected to provide the essential colours for painting uniforms of the British and Commonwealth airborne troops of the Second World War, as well as the Pixie suit (a British tank crew suit also used by soldiers at the end of the Second World War).

The set contains two shades of brown for the camouflage base coat: a more brownish version and a more greenish version (later production batches from 1944 onwards), as well as a darker brown for shadows. These colors are also suitable for painting the iconic British combat uniform worn over paratrooper trousers. For the camouflage pattern, the set includes a pea green and a dark brown for painting the characteristic brushstroke markings. Where these overlapped, applying one color over the other created a darker shade. The set also contains several colors for equipment, including a light khaki green for webbing and pouches, black for boots, brown for wooden parts and the water bottle, and even chestnut brown for the beret, as well as a skin tone. This set also includes a light bone color, which can be mixed with the other colors to create highlights.

Each of these colors can be used to paint specific parts of the figure, but they can also be mixed to create new shades and nuances, which can be used to create volume through the interplay of light and shadow.
