Humber MK II/IV Armored Car from Warlord Games

The British and Commonwealth forces maintained a substantial reconnaissance unit that advanced ahead of the main armored forces, searching for enemy troop positions and deployments. The Humber Armoured Car was one such vehicle, employed for this task, and more than held its own against other light vehicles and infantry. From the arid deserts of Africa to the roads and fields of Europe, the Humber Armoured Car spearheaded the Allied advance.

As a replacement for the aging Humber Light Reconnaissance Car, the newly designed Humber Armoured Car quickly became a mainstay of the Commonwealth forces, particularly in the desert war in North Africa. Initially, it was armed with a 15 mm and a 7.92 mm Besa machine gun. The later Mk IV replaced the 15 mm gun with a US 37 mm M5 or M6 anti-tank gun. The Humber was so successful that it saw service throughout the war, including in the campaigns in northwestern Europe and Burma.
