Bolt Action: Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer

Based on the proven Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis, almost 3,000 Hetzer (bait) vehicles were built by the end of the war. Their small size and very low profile gave them significant advantages in the tank hunter role.
Furthermore, the Hetzer was neither hampered by the mechanical problems of the larger tank destroyers such as the Jagdpanther and Jagdtiger, nor did it have the unprotected fighting compartment of the Nashorn or Marder tank destroyers.

Hetzer tank destroyers equipped many Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht units (including the Luftwaffe and the Kriegsmarine) that were active on all fronts where Germany fought, as well as with the Hungarian army. The first Hetzer tank destroyers entered service in May/June 1944 with the 731st and 743rd Army Tank Destroyer Battalions.

With this plastic box set you can build one of three vehicle types: a Hetzer, a Flammpanzer 38(t) and a 2cm FlaK on a Hetzer reconnaissance/AA vehicle.
