French Resistance Squad

The extraordinary men and women of the French Resistance were passionately patriotic citizens who risked everything to fight against the German occupation forces. From spreading disinformation and murdering German employees and collaborators to directly attacking German infrastructure, they prevented thousands of German troops from fighting the Allies on the front lines.

Armed with captured German weapons, the Allies supplied rifles and their own locally sourced shotguns and hunting rifles. The Maquis used their intimate knowledge of their homeland to keep the German forces on their guard, uncertain of where or when the next guerrilla attack would come.

The figures in this set represent the partisans of the French Internal Forces (FFI), but are equally suitable for most resistance forces, whether in Poland, the Soviet Union, or many other countries living under the heel of the German boot.
