The French army began World War II as the most powerful army in the world. Well-equipped, with excellent tanks and artillery, its infantry divisions were numerous and confident of repelling the hated Germans as they had twenty-two years earlier. However, this was not the same war, and the French infantrymen all too often found themselves fighting against German armored units that had outmaneuvered them during the Blitzkrieg in Europe.
This set is a great way to supplement your French army with reliable HQ selections, as well as an 81mm mortar and an old but reliable MMG in the form of a Hotchkiss MMG.
