Daimyos by Warlord Games

Lead your samurai and ashigaru into battle with these daimyo commanders!

The daimyo were powerful feudal lords who controlled vast territories in medieval Japan. Although nominally subservient to the shogun and the emperor, many daimyo were in reality warlords and landowners who sought to improve their own fortunes by any means necessary. These men frequently clashed, leading massive armies of samurai and ashigaru against one another and ravaging the land in large-scale battles and campaigns. Some rose to prominence, while others faded into obscurity. Whenever a battle took place during the Sengoku period, at least one daimyo was almost certainly at its center—often quite literally, as he led his troops onto the field!

This set contains three legendary daimyos to lead your Japanese forces. Each is cast in highly detailed Warlord Resin and modeled after one of Japan's three "Great Unifiers," arguably the most successful daimyos of their era. However, they can also be used to represent any Japanese general in your games of Pike & Shotte. Toyotami Hideyoshi is depicted on horseback, while Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu are on foot—all magnificently armored and ready to lead their troops into battle.
