Black Powder: 95th Rifles - Chosen Men

The 95th Rifles was a regiment of the British Army, founded in 1800. It was a highly trained elite unit of sharpshooters and tough close-quarters combatants.

Unlike the regular British units, whose closed formation and volley fire were famous, the 95th advanced in open formation. They were used as scouts and skirmishers and were always assigned specific military objectives.

The 95th was the first unit in the British Army to be uniformed not in the royal scarlet coats, but in dark green coats.
