Well known as the best soldiers to be found under the Union Jack, the British army suffered a minor defeat in the Peninsular campaign, but were known for their high morale and subsequently won far more victories over their old enemy, the French army.
Led by great generals such as Moore, Crauford and Wellesley, the British army was one of the most effective and powerful forces on the Iberian Peninsula until the end of the campaign in 1814.
