To halt the aggression of Germany, Italy, and Japan, Great Britain and its Commonwealth mobilized a vast number of men in uniform during the Second World War. Their small but professional army was consumed in the defense of a global empire, and soon their forces were fragmented and in retreat, culminating in the crushing defeats at Dunkirk and Singapore. Britain, however, stoically refused to surrender, and its army was reforged to strike back against the might of the Axis powers. The Tommies, as they were known, learned new techniques on the battlefield and by the end of the war were a highly effective fighting force, having fought from the opening of hostilities in 1939 until the war's conclusion in 1945.

This box contains 36 highly customizable plastic infantry, supplemented by weapon teams, transports and a Churchill tank (which is itself highly customizable as you can build one of seven variants), providing you with a highly effective and balanced starting force for a British or Canadian army.
