British Army 4.2 Inch Heavy Mortar (Late War)

The 4.2-inch heavy mortar was first used by the Royal Engineers at the Battle of El Alamein in 1942. From 1943 onwards, it was used as divisional support for infantry formations. As a powerful weapon, it was generally treated more as support artillery than its lighter counterparts.

Mortars are among the most frequently used units in Bolt Action, giving your army the ability to bombard the enemy with deadly indirect fire. As one of the core units of heavy weapon platoons, they can threaten enemy units across the entire battlefield when in line of sight from a friendly observer.

Includes a heavy metal mortar with four British crew members in late-war uniforms, with plastic bases.
