The Battle of Gettysburg, fought over the first three days of July 1863, became the high watermark of the Confederacy and the turning point of the American Civil War. The Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, under General Lee, fresh from defeating the Union Army at Chancellorsville, engaged the Union General Meade’s Army of the Potomac in the crossroads town of Gettysburg in the deadliest battle of the entire conflict. The battle culminated in the near-suicidal Pickett’s Charge, which resulted in the battered Rebel army retreating from the field. Lee’s invasion of the North was stopped.

This boxed set contains over 2,000 men. Each of the two armies are presented on colour-coded plastic sprues; the push-fit parts are extremely easy to assemble – allowing you to get gaming this fascinating era of history on the epic scale it deserves. Also included are some MDF scenery pieces to add extra authenticity to your battles.
