BP Epic Battles: American Civil War Confederate Cavalry & Zouaves Brigade

Dressed in their stylish colorful uniforms, the light infantry Zouaves took part in all the major battles of the American Civil War. Probably the most famous Confederate Zouave regiment was the Louisiana Tigers.

Fighting mounted, and armed with pistol, saber and carbine, the role of cavalry in the Civil War was more akin to mounted infantry, reconnaissance and patrol units than the shock cavalry of earlier eras. Skirmishers were an important element in the armies of both sides, providing screen protection for the main units and threatening the enemy’s flanks.

This plastic set contains enough models to field an entire Confederate Brigade, comprising a 100-man Zouaves regiment, a mounted cavalry regiment, a dismounted cavalry regiment, and a skirmisher regiment.

Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
