Belgian Carabiniers 1815 by Warlord Games
The allied army of the Netherlands during the Hundred Days' Campaign of 1815 was under the command of the Duke of Wellington. Within this multilingual force were two Dutch cavalry brigades—a light and a heavy brigade of carabiners. The latter consisted of one Belgian and two Dutch regiments, the Belgians looking splendid in their highly polished steel helmets and blue tunics. But make no mistake, these were not mere showmen. Under the command of General Trip van Zoudtlandt, they fought against the French on several occasions. Forty percent of them had served in Napoleon's army until very recently.
Although we know it is unlikely that the Dutch and Belgian troops carried flags at Waterloo, we have included a full-color flag sheet, as we know wargamers love to see their units literally under the flag!
The box contains 12 assembled Warlord ResinTM figures, a flag sheet and plastic bases.
