The figures in this box depict the appearance of typical Union infantry during the Civil War. They all wear sack coats and have the option of wearing either slouch caps or fedoras.

There are 40 figures in this set. Up to 30 figures can be mounted in either loading or "right shoulder shift" poses. A 4-man commando unit is included, but there are arms on the frame to expand the infantry for NCOs and a bugler. There are also 6 additional soldiers in the box. These, along with the loading arms on the main frame, allow for many pose variations.
