Bolt Action: German Afrika Korps Pak 36 light anti-tank gun

The standard version of the German anti-tank gun from 1939, which equipped the Panzer battalions (Pak stands for Panzerabwehrkanone, and 36 for the year in which the weapon was developed). It was arguably the best anti-tank gun in the world at the beginning of the war, but was quickly surpassed by the heavier armor on enemy tanks.

Nevertheless, 15,000 units were produced for Germany and its allies, and it was still in use in 1945. To extend its utility, the Stielgranate 41 (stick grenade 41) shaped-charge ammunition was developed. This large, fin-stabilized grenade fit over the end of the barrel but did not have a very long range.
