8th Army Weapons Teams by Warlord Games

Infantry weapon teams are an important part of any Bolt Action army, as they offer your troops great tactical flexibility. Sniper and anti-tank teams are among the most common weapon types and pose numerous challenges to the enemy.

At the outbreak of the war, the QF 2-pdr (QF stands for 'quickfiring') was the standard anti-tank gun of the British Army. It was a suitable weapon for its time, somewhat more effective in terms of armor penetration than the contemporary German 37 mm PaK 36. However, it was larger and heavier and had an unusual carriage, requiring the wheels to be removed before firing. It proved effective and popular against early tanks, light vehicles, and the poorly armored Japanese tanks, and saw successful service in France, North Africa, and the Far East.

The snipers were armed with a No. 4 SMLE rifle fitted with a No. 32 Mk. 1 telescopic sight. The team carried fifty rounds of ammunition: five tracer rounds and five armor-piercing rounds. They also carried two No. 36 Mills bombs or two No. 77 smoke grenades, along with binoculars and camouflage netting.
